Dear Technical team,
I recently tested the Tidal DJ subscription and it's awesome :) I have now access to unlimited tracks in real time, which is incredibly powerfull in weddings.
Sometimes i go to places without internet connection. In that case, i download the tracks into Cache offline. It worked great with 500 songs.
My question is How to empty the VDJ cache ? i tried to right click on the "offline cache" section with the right button, hoping to find an empty cache option. But i found nothing. In other word, i would like to delete the songs in my cache to save space on my laptop.
Hope it's clear :)
Thanks for your help :)

I have Tidal with the DJ extension. I've just tried George's suggestion right click and delete works as well as in batch mode (3 tunes tried). I have 270 files in the cache, the display in the browser was reduced to 267 and the tunes were removed from the browser. However, leaving the folder and/or shutting down VirtualDJ then returning to the cache, the numbers returned to 270. The 3 tunes were displayed again but had changed colour from green to red and the Tag Editor showed no filename just the tidal code for it. Right click gave the option to download to cache again. So, the question is - have they been removed to free up space or not?
I also found some info suggesting that the cache holds a maximum of 1,000 files, but I'm not sure about this. Anybody have a clue?

Yes its 1000 Tracks for Beatport's offline cache..
Tidal is only limited by the size of your disc... or the Tidal library.. lol
(no limit)
I have not deleted Tidal cached tracks lately.. but Tidal cached tracks are more a-kin to real "local" tracks (just with a DRM that needs refreshing).
Stems can be pre-computed etc..
So just delete them as you would any local track.
and the will appear in the recycle bin etc , just as if deleting any local track .
hope that helps
PS
there have been some improvements to Tidal's cache in VDJ . (with reqards to poi's being reverted back to the online version of the track, when one deletes the cached track. etc) and guess should test again before answering in forum.. :)

Hi, Can anyone confirm there is no limit for Tidal tracks in the offline cache? I have been looking for that info but so far found no confirmation. Some say 500 songs, some say 1.000 (obviously depends on the total GB). Thanks!

hi guys thak you for all your suggestion.. but i have a more specific question..
if i delete some songs.. it will delete that songs from my playlists too(in vdj and online)..
how can i delete only the cache files without touching the playlist??
example: i prepare a list for a wedding and the day after when i finish it i want to clear the cache.. but i want to keep playlist, on vdj and online..
if i delete files from a playlist (or folder) it delete from folder and from playlist too.. it delete online files too because probably its sync with tidal server.. but i only want to delete files in cache not in playlist or online..
is it possible to tell someone to compile an update with a "remove only from cache" option??

You can go to the Tidal->Offline Cache folder and delete them from there.

thanks Adion for the answer.. but can i suggest to develop to put an option to "delete entire folder/list" from right click menu on the select folder or list? so it's more simple..
because right now i have to search each song and delete one by one, or i have found a fast way to group of songs by parameter "file date".. but it's not smart as --> right click on folder and select "remove from cache"..
where can i report this to future develop?
i massive use vdj in lots of situation from business event, to theatre, to weddings and entertainment in generale, and i really stress it so i'm glad to contribute to make improvements ;-)

I second ROBERTO we need answers because 10/21 update i cannot remove online cache without removing entire playlist. As of today I cannot delete from offline cache without the file becoming "file not found" upon deck load despite indicator for file changing from green back to red. I too rely heavily for clients to send playlist for offline download cache. It would be definitely helpful for an update to adress this issue. STILL VDJ is the best DJ program ever. Always pushing boundaries since i started using in 2015 free on my laptop :)

Hello I have an issue. I have Virtual DJ on my MAC. I have extended monitors as well. The issue occurs when I move Virtual DJ from my main screen to the next screen. It bounces back to the original screen and it gets smaller. I tried a few times and it kept getting smaller. I moved it to the third screen and it did not get smaller. The next issue is, its way too small to operate and I can't make it larger or fit the screen. I've uninstalled it many times and reinstalled it but nothing works and my turn tables are on the way, so I really need a solution to this problem. Can anyone help me? Has anyone ever experienced this issue?
